Ended Bulb
Phoenix, AquaMaxx, or Hamilton bulb? 250 watt double ended halide?
I have a Hamilton ballast, I think, maybe IceCap. I was using an old cheapo bulb from ebay that has lasted forever, but is 10K and getting yellow over time. I tried to replace with an AquaMaxx 14K but it died in under a month. I have returned the bulb and have the option of getting a Phoenix, Hamilton, or trying a new AquaMaxx. Do you have anything to recommend on any brand? I’ve used Hamilton before, and they are great if you are careful not to break the ends putting the bulb in. I’ve never used Phoenix, and read mixed reviews where people love it or it burned out on them like my experience with AquaMaxx.
All three brands have their good and bad traits. Any other brands are welcome, but the stock where I have the credit is limited and these three are in the $70 price range….
Why don’t you buy the same kind 10k bulb? Call the company tell them you want a new one. Out of your 3 i guess i will go with Phoenix all of them have their ups and down but just my opinion
